FieldCount Privacy Policy Back to app

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 23, 2026

This policy applies to the FieldCount web app and its installable Progressive Web App and Android Trusted Web Activity. The Android app loads the FieldCount website at claimscounter-working.pages.dev.

Information FieldCount handles

Inventory information and photos. Information you enter can include inventory names, workspace, job or client references, item descriptions, quantities, rooms, statuses, custom fields, review flags, dates, and photographs. These details may contain personal or sensitive information that you choose to record.

Local drafts and preferences. FieldCount saves inventory records, photos, drafts, and app preferences in browser storage (IndexedDB) on your device for this website. The app does not require an account and does not send inventory records or photos to a FieldCount server.

Camera and photo selection. When you choose to take or add a photo, your browser and device provide the camera or photo picker. FieldCount receives the selected image and stores it in local browser storage; it does not continuously access the camera or upload the image to a FieldCount server.

Optional speech recognition. If you start voice input and accept the in-app notice, your browser's speech-recognition service processes the audio. Depending on the browser and its provider, audio may be processed off your device. FieldCount does not record or store raw audio. The resulting transcript is inserted into the editable description and may be saved as a local draft or item. The browser or speech provider may process audio or transcript data under its own terms and privacy policy. Typing is always available instead.

How information is stored and used

FieldCount uses information stored on your device to display and manage your inventories, save drafts, create exports, and restore backups. The service worker caches application files for offline access; it does not cache inventory records, photos, or exported files.

FieldCount does not provide account-based cloud storage or synchronization. Browser storage is managed by your browser and device. FieldCount does not apply its own encryption to locally stored records.

Hosting and third-party services

The website is delivered through Cloudflare Pages. When your device requests the app and its files, the hosting provider may process ordinary technical connection information, such as IP address, request details, timestamps, and browser or device information, to deliver and protect the service. This hosting information is separate from your locally stored inventory records. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

FieldCount does not include advertising, app-operated analytics or telemetry, purchase processing, or external AI services. Your browser, operating system, speech-recognition provider, download destination, and any service you choose to share an export with are separate services governed by their own privacy terms.

Exports, backups, and deletion

Spreadsheet exports and ZIP backups are prepared in your browser and downloaded to a location managed by your browser or device. If you share or upload those files, the recipient and any service you use will handle them under their own terms. FieldCount cannot delete copies stored outside the app.

You can delete individual items in FieldCount; deleting an item also deletes its associated photos from the app's local database. To remove other locally stored FieldCount data, clear the site data for this website in your browser settings. This may permanently delete inventories, photos, drafts, and preferences, so download and verify a backup first. Browser storage may also be cleared or evicted by the browser or device.

Security and beta testing

Anyone with access to your unlocked device or browser profile may be able to access data stored there. Use your device's security features and keep backups in a secure location. This development and internal-testing app is not a secure case-management service. Use fictional information during testing; do not enter real client, claim, or other highly sensitive information until the app and applicable privacy processes have been reviewed for that use.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated as FieldCount changes. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
